My blogging journey has been one with many ups and downs and I can’t predict where this journey will lead me. I do know that blogging gives me pure satisfaction because it’s my creative outlet where I can share my ideas and creativity with the world. I also never want to turn anything down that points toward true opportunity. I came across a great opportunity that I wanted to share because it really does work!
If you are a blogger looking to monetize your blog then this is it. I’m glad you’re here because I’d love to tell you about an opportunity to grow your blog that isn’t dependent on blog traffic. Blogging with Young Living is like an affiliate type of program that works well for any blog or website. It can be incredibly beneficial to your blog whether you already use essential oils, or have never even considered them before.
When I signed up and started using Young Living essential oils, I knew my family and I would love using the oils, but I was mostly intrigued by the business opportunity. It sounded like it would be such a seamless addition to my site that it wouldn’t take any extra work, unless you count that I would simply start organically integrating blog posts into my blog that involved the use of essential oils. This is something that I would want to do anyway!
You can read more here about how they are working for my family. You can also see examples here and here and here of how I have started blogging about ideas that involve the use of essential oils. As you can see, there is nothing pushy about offering the oils through blogging – it really is quite the opposite! And the content that can be generated on the subject seems unlimited.
I also knew this could bring in a little money to help offset the cost of running the blog. I just never could have imagined just how much in such a short amount of time!
Thank goodness I don’t have to do any sales-y selling with this opportunity. As a blogger, I can simply weave essential oils into blog post topics I’d want to be blogging about anyway, and let the oils sell themselves! I simply have it available to those who are interested in them (and many people are), and then people can sign up under my number. Any time there is a new order, I will get a percentage of the sale as the referring person. Over time, I continue to build members and it continues to grow. The only catch is that in order to get all of the commissions, I have to maintain a certain amount in my personal orders per month. I put this off until I had enough people ordering under me that it offset my personal order amount – this took about one month.
Another awesome thing is that it becomes a team approach. I added the sign-up to my site, and a few people signed up under me. The person that I had signed up under was at a stage where she had so many sign-ups that she was ready to spread them around a little so she moved some of them under me. She continues to benefit, and now I benefit as well. This “stacking” is a practice in our Young Living blogging team because it truly benefits us all!
I love the community I have found in my Young Living Facebook groups I was added to when I joined – we all help each other in so many ways. There is so much support and education, especially for bloggers! Since I joined an established team, anyone who joins me becomes part of that established team too.
I was first introduced to this from Myra Yarbough. She is someone that I met through blogging. You may know her from My Blessed Life. She started selling Young Living on her blog two years ago and has had so much success to her surprise and has started showing bloggers how to make it work for them. Myra is a Crown Diamond Leader now with Young Living and I am so grateful to have her as a leader in this organization!

It is not my goal to talk anyone into this. Please check out Young Living as a company and its reputation. Think about how essential oil content would fit into your blog organically. It really is just an extension of what we are already writing. Of course, now I have endless ideas!
